State of Safety is a new nonprofit that believes that gun deaths are preventable deaths.
The rate of firearm fatalities in Oregon exceeds the national average. We are working to change that by:
Educating the public on existing gun laws and gun violence prevention;
Promoting gun safety and responsible gun ownership;
Measuring Oregonians’ attitudes on firearms;
Identifying evidence-based policies to reduce gun violence; and
Monitoring compliance with existing state gun laws.
